Work and artist.

Esteve Espelt has always been linked to the Patum. When he was 8 to 14 years old  he formed part of the extras of the party. Always captivated by the Excellent Berguedana party he created some of the extras of the infantile Patum that is celebrated in the Barri de la Creu, neighboring locality of Berga. Fascinated by the Patum, Esteve Espelt has wanted this work to captivate all the patumaire force looking for a concept of modern art and an aesthetic will.

The Paintings

The realized painting try to express experiences and representations that are given in the square. The reflection, critical vision and exigency in every work, at the moment of representing the reality lived or observed by Esteve Espelt, do of his paintings a very good representation of what happens in it.

The Sculptures

Esteve Espelt's sculptures in the same way as the paintings, try form the simplicity, to show the whole movement and the dynamics that the principal protagonists of the party carry out; the extras. Done from sheets of steel, the figures show the whole captivation and emphasis patumaire.
